Immigration is a critical component of Nigeria’s economic development, providing skilled labor and promoting cultural diversity. The government has initiated several programs to promote immigration, including the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and the National Migration Policy. However, more needs to be done to address the challenges of immigration, including promoting the rights of migrants, addressing the causes of migration, and promoting economic opportunities in Nigeria.
